Sec. 90.659  Change in number or location of base stations or 
          transmitters.

    (a) Licensees of trunked Specialized Mobile Radio systems are exempt 
from the requirement under Sec. 90.135(a)(5) to file an application for 
modification of license when there is a change in the location or number 
of fixed, control, or mobile transmitters from that authorized, 
including area of mobile operations.
    (b) Licensees of conventional Specialized Mobile Radio channels are 
not exempt from the requirement under Sec. 90.135(a)(5) to file an 
application for modification of license when there is a change in the 
location or number of fixed, control, or mobile transmitters from that 
authorized, including area of mobile operations.
    (c) Licensees of trunked and conventional Specialized Mobile Radio 
systems are not exempt from the requirement under Sec. 90.135(a)(5) to 
file an application for modification of license when there is a change 
in the location or number of base stations.
